I know that the ribbon is alive and well in sticker form, what is too pasee for your shirt is cool to have on your car, or in many cases six or seven times on your car. Most are either yellow for the troops or red ,white and blue, presumably for france but since I live in america I can't be sure.
However, what's even more disturbing is that since the ribbon is, for most purposes, out of fashion, the new fad is plastic wristband in the color of a former ribbon. Example, you ask? Some cancer foundation has the yellow, and breast cancer has clasic pink. For some people, they run a hundred bucks (presumably the money goes to the cause, as plastic isn't that expensive yet), for others, free. I can't say why, I don't want to say why, because I don't know why. All I know is that the new fad is the old fad, only moved down half a notch. I guess if current trends continue, in ten years everyone will be wearing colored plastic shoes for a cause (moving south, getting bigger and more in the way of things).
I for one would welcome a middle man and postpone the shoes for another ten years, but something tells me my cock rings for awareness just won't cut it.
